Make your Dream Home

Your whole home, handled by the same team

KiLAND Design Center specializes in kitchen, bathroom, and whole-house renovation. As a full-service licensed general contractor, we deliver timely, cost-effective, professional-grade remodeling, renovation, and new construction.

Whole-home projects succeed when every room speaks the same design language — and that's exactly what our model delivers. Your cabinetry, flooring, and hardware are selected in our design center, planned by the same design team, and built by the same licensed crew. No job is too small or too large.

Why KiLAND

A whole house needs a single point of contact.

The larger the project, the more the coordination is the project. Sequencing rooms, staging materials, and keeping the palette consistent across an entire home is exactly where separate contractors start pointing at each other. Here it’s the same team throughout.

A dedicated project manager

Someone who knows the whole plan, holds the schedule, and answers your questions directly — not a rotating cast of subcontractors.

A palette that carries room to room

Cabinetry, flooring, and hardware chosen home-wide, so the kitchen, baths, and living spaces belong to the same house.

Sequenced around your life

We plan the order of work and set expectations about access, noise, and timing before we begin.

Licensed for the full scope

A full-service licensed general contractor (CA License #1038355), qualified to carry a whole-home project from permit through final walkthrough.

Common Questions

What homeowners ask before a whole-home project

Often yes, depending on scope. We sequence the work so essential spaces stay usable as long as possible and set expectations about access, water, and power before we start. For full-floor renovations, we'll tell you honestly if moving out for a period is the better call.

Containment is part of the plan — work zones are sealed off, adjacent rooms and flooring are protected, and debris is removed rather than accumulated.

Yes. As a licensed general contractor we manage the permitting required for your scope of work.

Yes. Many homeowners start with the kitchen or a primary bath and continue later. Because we keep your plan and palette on file, later phases match the earlier ones instead of approximating them.

A dedicated project manager who knows your entire plan — not a different subcontractor each week.

Timelines depend on scope, permitting, and material lead times. We give you a realistic schedule during design — before you commit — rather than an optimistic one that slips.

Yes. We provide new construction services carried by the same licensed team, with the same design center behind the selections.

We asked them to quote on a hardwood floor installation. Although I am reasonably experienced with home projects, this was outside of my comfort zone. To make sure, we asked them to come to the house, measure the area correctly and make sure there is a plan for the project. The estimate was about 10k and we accepted. Well, they forgot to charge for the glue - add $850. Oh, the preexisting tiles are sitting in 2" of mortar. That happens sometimes, they said. They could have looked at the subfloor easily to see that, but they did not ... add $4k for additional demo work and new raised subfloor. And the flooring of the house is not even so we have to put transitions in; I was able to persuade them to raise the new subfloor and level things off after a bunch of discussions on how this was too much work, but it required a lengthy discussion. Well, next was that they miscalculated the area ... need to add more hardwood floor material and installation charge ... add $1.7k. And when it came to installing the last transitions to the adjacent rooms, I was told that the material they ordered would not work and they did not have time to get other items and finish it (they said I should finish it myself). Along they way they nicked into my walls many times and left a bunch of black marks. Yes, they offered to repaint, but I kind of lost confidence and considered what may go wrong when their floor installer who does not have time to do his main job would start painting my walls. The small discount they offered me did not make things right. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience ...
