About Our Doors

A door is three decisions, not one

The panel, the way it moves, and the frame it hangs in are separate choices — and getting all three right is what separates a door that closes properly from a door you fight with every day.

Door Types

01

Interior Doors

Panel, flush, and glazed doors for bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, and pantries — where sound, light, and the way a door interrupts a room all matter.

02

Exterior & Entry Doors

Built to weather, seal, and secure. Solid wood, composite, and aluminium options, with glazing, sidelites, and pivot systems for entries that make a statement.

03

Barn & Sliding Doors

Surface-mounted on exposed track, saving the floor space a swing door needs — suited to openings where a swinging panel would be in the way.

04

Pocket, Bypass & Bi-fold

Doors that disappear into the wall, slide past each other, or fold back on themselves — the practical answers for closets, laundries, and tight hallways.

What to Consider

01

Core & Construction

Solid wood, solid core, and hollow core doors feel and sound completely different. A solid core costs more and is immediately obvious every time the door is closed.

02

Sound & Privacy

Bedrooms, bathrooms, and home offices benefit from denser construction and a properly sealed frame. Mass is what stops sound — panel design has almost nothing to do with it.

03

Slab or Pre-Hung

A slab is the door alone, for an existing frame in good condition. A pre-hung door arrives in its own frame with hinges fitted — more expensive, far easier to install square.

04

Handing & Swing

Which way a door opens, and which side the hinges sit on, has to be specified when ordering. It's the most common error on a door order, and the reason we measure rather than assume.

Configurations, materials, finishes, and available options vary by manufacturer and collection.

Style & Function

Chosen for the opening it fills

Beyond the panel itself, style, glazing, and hardware decide how a door reads in a room — and whether it disappears into the wall or becomes the feature of the hallway.

Styles

Modern, classic, or French

Flat modern slabs, traditional panelled profiles, glazed French pairs, and luxury detailing — in configurations from single doors to double sets.

Glass & Finish

Light without the opening

Clear, frosted, rain, black, and mirrored glazing let light travel between rooms without giving up privacy. Finishes run from white and grey through natural wood tones to deep blacks.

Hardware

The part you actually touch

Not sure whether your opening takes a slab or a pre-hung door? Tell us the room and we'll measure it — handing included.

Available styles, finishes, materials, and storage solutions vary by brand and collection.

See It Installed

The same door, in a real doorway

A product shot shows you the panel. It doesn't show you how a door reads at the end of a hallway, or how much light a frosted pane actually moves into a dark room — so here they are, hung and in use.

We asked them to quote on a hardwood floor installation. Although I am reasonably experienced with home projects, this was outside of my comfort zone. To make sure, we asked them to come to the house, measure the area correctly and make sure there is a plan for the project. The estimate was about 10k and we accepted. Well, they forgot to charge for the glue - add $850. Oh, the preexisting tiles are sitting in 2" of mortar. That happens sometimes, they said. They could have looked at the subfloor easily to see that, but they did not ... add $4k for additional demo work and new raised subfloor. And the flooring of the house is not even so we have to put transitions in; I was able to persuade them to raise the new subfloor and level things off after a bunch of discussions on how this was too much work, but it required a lengthy discussion. Well, next was that they miscalculated the area ... need to add more hardwood floor material and installation charge ... add $1.7k. And when it came to installing the last transitions to the adjacent rooms, I was told that the material they ordered would not work and they did not have time to get other items and finish it (they said I should finish it myself). Along they way they nicked into my walls many times and left a bunch of black marks. Yes, they offered to repaint, but I kind of lost confidence and considered what may go wrong when their floor installer who does not have time to do his main job would start painting my walls. The small discount they offered me did not make things right. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience ...
